Installing gas appliances
A registered gasfitter is required to install any gas appliances in your home or office or restaurant.
The gasfitter will ensure that the installation is not only safe, but efficient. It is recommended that all appliances are inspected for an annual “warrant of fitness”. This is purely voluntary but it will ensure that your appliances are performing at peak efficiency and are a safe as when they were installed.
When your appliances have been installed you will be provided with a gas certificate. These are currently being put online and can be viewed on the PG&D Board website
To find a gasfitter your appliance retailer will recommend an appropriate company, or, you could look in your yellow pages.
