Lifestyle use
The decision to connect to gas shouldn’t be simply about economics and efficiency, it is a lifestyle choice giving both pleasure and a safe healthy environment.

Gas is a complete solution for the home. As Consumer magazine said in its October 2004 edition “in Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton you’ll save money if you use gas for as many services as you can.

“Using gas for water heating and home heating costs less than using electricity alone, even though you’ll have to pay two fixed charges.”

A warm home is a healthy home. There is strong evidence to show that children in warm dry homes are less susceptible to winter ills and the symptoms of chronic conditions such as asthma can be markedly reduced.

Of new homes built in new subdivisions in the North Island over 75% of owners are choosing natural gas.

A home with gas also means enjoying life’s simple pleasures – continuous hot water, a warm dry home and pleasurable outdoor living.

It is about having instant and infinite control in the kitchen – using world class appliances which set high standards in cooking.

Or, think of a sizzling fresh fish BBQ, under the stars, on a top-of-the-range gas outdoor appliance. And, make the day outside last longer with safe and easy to operate outdoor gas heaters.

It’s about the simple pleasures.

Imagine never running out of water, no matter how many baths or showers you run. Or turning the tap for instant hot water flowing directly from a continuous flow gas water system.

A home with gas can mean a warm home to wake up to, with the temperature automatically set from a digital control pad.

All of which can be done more efficiently and economically than any other energy source, with no impact on the environment.

It’s a logical choice.
